What St. George Homeowners Say
"PK Crew deserves 1 million Stars! They are reliable, keep an immaculate work site, excellent communication, exceptional craftsmanship and carpentry skills. We needed a big fix from a project that went bad with someone else, PK Crew saved the day!! We are very appreciative and cannot recommend them enough. We are so happy with their work."
-Kristina C, deck redo, then hired to build a detached home office casita
"PK Crew did a great job on our remodel. He took down the walls of an office to expand into a bigger great room, he also took down a dated bridge in our kitchen over our bar area and the dated plant shelves. It now looks seamless, like it was always meant to be that way. The hardest part was tying in our wood floors where the walls were torn down. It looks amazing! You would never know! He’s honest, hard working, and has pride in his work."
-Leeann P., Ivins living room & kitchen area remodel in Ivins
Phillip was awesome! He found the root of the water leak and fixed it! Even though it was such pain in the but to find it , he consistently worked through till we fixed them all. I am so pleased with his work!
-MARIE B, roof repair in Ivins
Phillip replaced my baseboards on the main level of my home. He also tiled a bathroom for me. He has great attention to detail. I was very please with the quality of his work. He is respectful and honest. If you need some work done, give him a call!
-MC W, miscellaneous handyman repairs in Santa Clara
"Finally! Someone shows up when he promises. He could not make the first time we agreed, but he called immediately when he realized and rescheduled. Perfect. I appreciate that. His work is professional quality, speedy, and honest. He fixed a door that was sticking so badly we couldn’t open it. Payment was easy and reasonable. I wish I could give six stars. Keep this guy busy."

Meet Phillip, Your St. George Contractor

My name is Phillip
I am the owner of PK Crew. I grew up in Utah fixing, installing, and building things for as long as I can remember. I am a licensed general contractor and have owned my own construction business for over five years. I'm constantly observing my surroundings, wondering how to make the things around me better. I grew up with a father who built our house and many others entirely by himself. I was able to learn a lot about construction through his expertise. I am also a licensed real estate agent in Southern Utah if you need to sell or buy a home. I am very particular about my work and strive for constant improvement in everything I do.
PK Crew serves St. George, Ivins, Santa Clara, Washington, Hurricane, Diamond Valley, Dammeron Valley, Veyo, and Pine Valley. We're based in Ivins, so most jobs are within 30 minutes. If you're somewhere else in Washington county, call and ask, we can usually make something work.
Yes. PK crew is a licensed Utah general contractor license number 12394123-5501, and we carry liability insurance with certificates available on request. You can verify any Utah contractor at https://secure.utah.gov/llv/search/ in about a minute and you should, a lot of remodeling and handyman work in the St. George area is done by unlicensed crews.
No. Estimates are free anywhere we work in Washington County. For smaller repairs you can text a photo to (435) 252-1070 and we'll often quote it without coming out at all. For remodels and new builds we come look in person, then give you a written estimate with line items rather than a single number written on a business card or in a text.
We do. Pulling permits is the contractor's job, it puts our license on record with the building department, which is one of the reasons you hire a licensed general contractor. Cosmetic work generally does not require a permit. Moving plumbing or electrical, altering framing or building anything detached does.
We can usually get to small repairs within 24-48 hours. Remodels and new builds are scheduled and depending on the season we can usually get to starting on them within a week.
There is no deposit required on small repairs, we just require payment upon completion. On larger projects we require a down payment and use a draw schedule for the remainder of the job tied to different job milestones. We accept credit cards (charges over $500 will include an additional 3% card charge), cash, and check. A contractor who asks for the full amount up front or a large deposit before and materials are ordered is a warning sign, our payment schedule is structured so that you're never paying far ahead of the work you see.
Yes, one year workmanship warranty on labor. That covers our installation. Materials and appliances carry their won manufacturer warranties. If something we installed fails because of the installation within the warranty period, call us and we'll come fix it.
That depends on the job. PK Crew is run by an owner operator, so the day to day operations are performed by him. On small jobs he will be the only one, smaller remodels may require another employee, but he will still be there most of the time. For larger jobs as a general contractor there are varying trades that will be around, but the owner will still be involved in the day to day check ins and operation.
Yes. We work on second homes and rentals all the time. Our clients trust us to access their homes or coordinate with their tenants, get the job done right and provide updates and pictures when complete. We are very comfortable with working without the client present.
No, in most cases there isn't. That's what's nice about working with us, we can take care of whatever you need and have the resources necessary if something bigger comes up that you have someone you already have a relationship with who you can call.
Yes. There may be other people involved, but he will always be deeply involved.
If you're looking to do an interior remodel anytime is good. If you want to open walls and roofs then typically late summer, fall or late spring have less rainfall, but if you live in Southern Utah you know the weather is always unpredictable so we try to schedule opening those things up when we see clear sky for the foreseeable future.
