Home Remodeling Contractor in St. George, Utah

PK Crew remodels kitchens, bathrooms, and whole houses across St. George, Ivins, and Santa Clara.

Bathrooms usually run four to eight weeks and toward the longer end if you want a custom shower door. Kitchens run two to 6 months depending on how deep you go, always the longer end with custom cabinets, which are a two to four month order on their own. On smaller remodels the materials set the schedule, not labor. We work as fast as the materials allow, but if the fastest possible job is the most important thing on your list, we're probably not the contractor for you. If you'd rather it be done right, we'd love to hear about your project.

How We Work

1. Walkthrough and real number

We come look, talk through what you want, and give you a written estimate with line items, not a single number scrawled on a business card or sent in a text.

2. Selections and ordering

We help you pick materials, or install what you've already chosen. We order long-lead items first. Custom cabinets are a two to four month order and stone can't be templated until they're installed so they get ordered as soon as possible. If cabinets are on your list we'll get a meeting scheduled with our cabinet builders right away. Ordering late is the biggest reason remodels run long.

3. Demolition and rough-in

We Floors protected, dust contained, debris hauled. Any plumbing, electrical, or framing changes get done before anything gets covered up.

4. Finishes

Cabinets, countertops, tile, trim, paint, and fixtures. This is where the difference between a good remodel and a great one shows: tight seams, level cabinets, clean grout lines, aligned hardware.

5. Walkthrough and punch list

We walk it with you, write down every remaining item, and finish them. You get the room back, done.

Living Through a Remodel

Things worth sorting out before demolition day.

Kitchens. You'll be without a kitchen for most of a full remodel. Plan a temporary setup, microwave, fridge, etc. in another room. We'll tell you which week the sink goes and comes back in.

Bathrooms. If it's your only full bath, we sequence to keep a working toilet as long as possible and get the new one usable fast. Say so upfront if it's your only bathroom, it will change how we schedule.

Pets and kids. Tell us. We'll keep doors closed, secure the site, and let you know which days will have the most traffic in and out.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in St. George?

A refresh, refinished cabinets, new countertops, backsplash, hardware, typically runs $10,000 to $20,000. A mid-range remodel with new cabinets and countertops usually lands somewhere between $30,000 to $60,000. Full gut renovations with new layouts start around $60,000. We'll give you a line-item number after a walkthrough and we get an idea of your finish selections.

How much does a bathroom remodel cost?

A standard guest bath about (5x8) typically run $15,000 to $22,000 for a full renovation. Cosmetic refreshes, vanity fixtures, paint flooring, typically run $5,000 to $10,000. Master bath suites with a double vanity and tiled walk-in shower typically start around $30,000.

How long will my kitchen be out of commission?

A kitchen with new custom cabinets run two to 6 months total. Cabinet lead times drive the longer timeline with two to four months from order to delivery, which is why if at all possible we like to get them ordered before demolition even starts.

Do I need a permit to remodel?

Cosmetic work usually doesn't. Moving plumbing or electrical, altering framing, or changing load-bearing walls does. We pull permits when the jobs need them.

Can I keep my existing cabinets?

Yes, that's all up to your personal tastes. If the boxes are solid and the layout works, refinishing or painting plus new countertops and hardware get you the most visual change for a fraction of the cost. We'll tell you honestly whether we think yours are worth keeping.

Do you do the work yourselves or subcontract it?

Yes, we do the work ourselves so far as we can, depending on size and timelines. Sometimes we need to call on our subcontractors to do larger jobs or specialty work. We will always do the finish work.

Will you help me choose materials?

Yes. We can refer you to our suppliers or attend meetings with all of us if you'd like our insight. We can also work entirely from selections you've already made if you've already completed all of your finish selections.

Do you remodel rentals and second homes?

Regularly. We can work without the owner present and most of the time we do. We coordinate with property managers, and owners to gain access and send photo updates. A lot of our work is on our client's second homes and they are out of state. Second-home maintenance

What happens if you find something behind the wall?

We stop and talk to you before spending your money. Old plumbing, hidden water damage, and non-code wiring turn up in older Southern Utah homes, and we'll show you what we found and what the options are.

How do payments work?

Typically we will take a 10% or 20% deposit upfront depending on the size of the job and then we'll work on a draw schedule tied to milestone completion.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, we are a licensed Utah General Contractor license #12394124-5501, with liability insurance. Verify any builder at the Utah State Licensing Division before you sign anything.

Do you offer any warranty?

Yes, we offer a one year warranty on all of our installation work. Manufacturers may have their own warranties on their materials.
